A begger woman begging in Nainital, a tourist town, for the past 30 years was scorned and shifted around the town for years. She fell sick, no one cared, her siblings died, no one cared. A couple of months ago she was found curled up on her gunny-sack, dead. In her sack were neatly laid out bundles of notes amounting to Rs,62,760.00. She had apparantly collected over her thirty year period of begging - Then out of the blue, and very shamelessly too, there turned up eight peole claiming to be her relative and wanting to cremate the body - oddly enough none of the eight were related to each other. It is believed that the sisters of charity cremated the body and distributed the cash to the needy in and around the town. - Dexter by shivanisathi

• New Turkish brides were once upon a time entitled to coffee being gifted them by bridegrooms: it was actually a promise made during their wedding ceremonies, which required the bridegrooms to vow to always provide their new wives with coffee.
